At the Chennai Open, Thai twins Sanchai and Sonchat Ratiwatana claimed their second ATP doubles title with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over rookie pairing Marcos Baghdatis and Marc Gicquel.

The Thai duo, ranked 71 and 67 in the Stanford ATP Doubles Rankings respectively, broke serve twice and won 77% of points on their serve in the match, which lasted one hour on Sunday.

"It is always nice to win so it is nice to take this title," said Sanchai. "We had a great week in Chennai, nice stadium, nice hotel, great crowd. We look absolutely the same, it is ok for us but maybe that confuses the opponents!"

The Ratiwatanas won their maiden ATP doubles title in Bangkok last September (d. Llodra/Mahut).

The Cypriot/French pairing of Baghdatis and Gicquel were searching for their first individual career ATP doubles titles. In the quarterfinals this week they defeated the top-seeded duo of Yves Allegro and Nicolas Mahut.

Ways to go!
