We have 3 surfaces, but i would put indoor as separate from outdoor HC, we have different conditions indoor -outdoor and also indoor is generally faster-better for agressive players. HC are many variants, many of them, but i still think difference in indoor-outdoor is bigger than in slow-fast HC generally, because of no wind and other things.

From best to worst i think:

Nole - outdoor HC, clay, indoor, grass
Rafa - Clay, grass, outdoor HC, indoor
Roger - Indoor, grass, outdoor HC, clay
Andy - Outdoor HC, indoor, grass, clay
Ferrer - clay, outdoor HC, indoor, grass
TSonga - indoor, grass, outdoor HC, clay
Berdych - grass, indoor, outdoor HC, clay
Fish - grass, outdoor HC, indoor, clay

besides top 8 i would rate Delpo and Robin
Delpo - outdoor HC, clay, indoor, grass
Soderling - indoor, clay, outdoor HC, grass

What do you think rate top players how you feel what are their best and worst surfaces

Fish? Grass?
He has one grass title and a QF in Wimbledon.
But... Before this year he didn't get after R3 in Wimby.
And this year, the only good win in Wimbledon was vs Berdych, and we know Berdych can make an excelent tournament or a stupid shit like 2011 Roland Garros. (Just look his results in that same tournament one year before).

Berdych is bad on grass, his worst surface
You can think it is his worst surface, it is ok, but bad on grass? he played Wimbledon F, took down 6x champion and has the game suited for grass- i mean big serve, powerfull groundstrokes and when he is confident really great net game and volleys for this generation

I got outdoor HC 2nd- i was thinking between those 2 surfaces, it is close maybe i am wrong, but Fish has the game for grass- from top 10 probably he is volleying most- more often than Roger, or Jo or Berdych, also his serve is pretty good-decent, he just play too much on HC so it looked better i think. About his Wimby 3R, before 2010 he was not top player, but agree that with his style of game he should have done more at Wimbledon before

Don't see the point of this thread. All the statistics are there to show what surfaces each player is most successful at. Anything more is just speculation and subjective thoughts.

I think outdoor HC which is played in 50% of events can easily be divided into fast and slow HC. Slow hardcourt with long painful rallies while the summer hardcourt tournaments with less rallies and more attacking tennis.

Nole - outdoor slow HC, outdoor fast HC, clay, indoor, grass,
Rafa - Clay, grass, outdoor slow HC, outdoor fast HC indoor
Roger - Indoor, outdoor fast HC, grass, clay, outdoor slow HC
Andy - Outdoor slow HC, indoor, outdoor fast HC, grass, clay

I was thinking about the same - fast to slow HC, but how i wrote in my first post, indoor-outdoor difference is i think bigger and it is clear, but by slow-fast HC it is not always clear, where is medium and so on:D But definitely we can divide 3 surfaces to 5 different, because clearly difference between slowest HC to fastest HC is far far bigger than from slowest clay to fastest clay for example. Also indoor- outdoor conditions are totally different. Rafa is nice example, he is generally i think good on HC, but not indoor HC.

I think there is no need to make this kind of thread, cause it is obvious which player likes the type of surface.
