Good thread.

Good chance to take Roddick's number 6 spot after Indian Wells or Miami, who he is defending a SF in Indian Wells and QF in Miami.

I think David will be ranked number 6 the week after next if Nadal can defeat Roddick today based on the Indian Wells points dropping off. But I don't put much value in that considering that Roddick hasn't even had the chance to defend his points.

I am not, repeat AM NOT, going to compare David with the next player. True, he can make up lots of ground. All that said, it doesn't mean a thing until the results come in.

By all accounts, he had a decent IW; however, we've got to concentrate on the opponent in front of David at the present time, not on some supposed result that may or may not happen.

Well said! After all, we don't see David as an extension of ourselves. Neither we try to mirror on him the unfulfilled ambitions we have in our lives... Huge topic with many aspects.
