Rafter was awesome to watch. Agree he should be placed above Phillipousis in both relevant decades. But Rafter only had 3 1/2 good years in his career, largely due to injury He only had 2 top 15 finishes during the 90s.

Let's skip

2000s
1. Soderling
2. T.Johansson
3. Enqvist
4. Norman
5. J.Johansson (biggest what-if of swedish tennis)
Björkman close but in the 00s he was way better in doubles than singles

1990s
1. Edberg
2. Wilander
3. Enqvist (should have won that slam final vs Kafelnikov 1999)
4. Björkman (was nr4 in 97)
5. Gustafsson
Magnus Larsson close

1980s
1. Wilander
2. Edberg
3. Järryd (reached #5 in singles but mostly famous for doubles)
4. Carlsson
5. Sundström
Nyström, Pernfors, Svensson all reached around #10. Gunnarson and Stenlund was also in the top30
The 80s was the golden age for swedish tennis so just being in the top50 and you kinda sucked.
7 DC titles and like 16/20 DCs was semi or better in that stretch following Mr.Borg. Counted Borg to the 70s as he retired very early in the 80s
