2005 :

Clay Courts : 50-2 (96.2%)
 I still remember this all of a sudden clay performance. All mighty . Un-freakin- believable. How much I hated it at the time and several years to come.

But then recognize :censored::cool: It remains one of the most dominant showings of all time

We are taking here about a dirt baller who won a freaking 72% of his titles on red mud. No matter which way you'll try to twist it he'll always be remembered as a clay specialist.
I think Rafa will also be remembered as the greatest US Open player ever, and if he wins another AO he'll be the only man in the Open Era to have won all the slams twice each.
He's just entering his hardcourt prime, so very possible.
And of course there is a huge chance he'll surpass Federer's 20 slams.

From 2005-2013, if my quick math is correct, Nadal was 267-11 on clay, which is just mind boggling. Anyone know where to find all time surface leader information? Wondering if there are other similarly dominant precedents

You are correct about the 267-11 record from 2005-2013.

You can find almost any stat if you play around a bit with the advanced filters on this site i.e https://www.ultimatetennisstatistics.com/statsLeaders

Name me another clay specialist who has reached 19 GS SF's...14 GS finals...7 GS titles off of clay?...what an idiotic comment....he would be a top 10 player all time if you erased all his clay titles...I agree that some players can be classified as clay specialists...Nadal is not one of them....He is a clay God.

You're so right. Obviously he was trolling but Djokovic won exactly the same percentatge of his titles in hardcourt and winning one less slam in the rest of surfaces , reaching 10 finals by 15 of Nadal( you counted one less ,5 AO, 5 WMB and 5 USO). And everybody calls him all-around surface player, Federer btw has a 73% of titles in hard.

Nadal 21H 4G 59C
Djokovic 57H 6G 14C
Federer 71H 19G 11C

But the sheer dominance in Clay by Nadal eclipses his achivaments outside.

If we erase clay from the registers, he is 4th in GS in open era tied with Agassi , Connors and Mcenroe.

And Top 10 in Masters( if we count grand
Prix super series but it's hard to track and they are no exactly equivalent) and 6th if we count since 1990.

he gets all the easy draws on hard and grass because of the points he rakes up on clay
why do you think he's always there for clay season? take away his soft draws and it would be a different story

This draw nonsense is Hilarious ?? nadal has beaten the greatest hard court and grass court players in grand slam finals: Roger and Novak, which makes him even greater considering they are the greatest. Everybody is a weak draw for nadal on clay anyway. It’s as if nadal makes the draws on hard etc ? it’s not his fault roger and Novak can’t get to finals to meet him, especially in us open 2017.

Nadal is there for the clay season as he can win everything and it’s his Surface, he was made by it. Of course he’s gonna play on it if he can win.
