I've been discussion about this with a friend, and would like to know if you know...

usually, how many raquets per match are used? (at the highest level...)

depends on broken strings, rackets etc

some players change racket at every ball change and some players use the racket as an excuse to playing like crap!

:)
regarding re-stringing - are players free of charge to restring their rackets during these tournaments?

also, what is the avg tension being used by the top players?
Alternatively…. depends how many times you lose your temper ;)

no, they have to pay for that service

depends on the player of course, but as an average for all combined I would say about 25, 26, 27 KP... something in that range, some harder, some softer
so it's really tough and expensive to be a pro if you're not in at least the top 30 or something.

lodging, traveling, food, services... and then just lose in the 1st round? yikes!

don't forget prostitutes, they're usually the biggest expense, well the good ones are anyway. If you're really lucky, you can find a whore that will string your rackets. Good luck though, they're a rare breed.

Depends on the surface and opponent, Fed strings his racquets at 50 kilos when he plays Roddick now, and less for his other opponents. He says he is able to control A-Rods power better
