The Kokk makes his official grass debut tonight (today UK time), so will be interesting to see what he can do on it. On the face of it, his game should be pretty suited to the green stuff, and notwithstanding lack of actual matches, he's had plenty of practice on it, though he claims it is his least favourite surface (mind you Kyrgios said the same thing before Wimbledon last year...).
Despite his strong form, he is at something of a disadvantage inasmuch as he spent 48 hours on a plane over the last few days.
He missed the chance to continue his perfect qualifying record when he dropped out of qualifying last week to dash back to Australia to visit his sick grandmother. But Queen's gave him Edmund's wildcard (yep, no 6 for the year, TD's clearly see him as a future no 1!) and so he dashed back, determined to play...
Chardy's not in horrible form (12-12 for the year) vs the Kokk's 9-10, and not a slouch on grass (lost here to Querrey last year in the first round, but made it to the fourth round of Wimbledon).
But having travelled all that way back, I reckon the Kokk will be keen to make the trip back worthwhile...
