Matosevic tumbled so much in this match that his ankle was twisted but for some reason managed to win that many games. I don't know what to say, really. Hope he doesn't withdraw and be healthy against Stan.

Enough is enough, Tsonga is simply declining. There is NO other explanation to this result and countless others this year.

Jo  losing to Matosevic of all people. Stan the road is clear(ish) now.

Jo wasn't there at all. The headcasery continues.

Marinko seems a down to Earth sort, despite the medias attempt to fillet him.

No. It's not just that Tsonga is declining. People have figured his one-dimensional game and mental frailty out. He doesn't have a reliable serve or reliable backhand as a weapon. His forehand is very strong but prone to breaking down. Most of all, his defensive skills are pretty weak. Once you attack him and make him work hard he is gonna break down mentally and physically. He used to just get away with overpowering ball bashing but players have figured that out and shut him down by attacking him more relentlessly. He has no real plan B either. The myth of his talent was just a myth.

I guess Tsonga having a much lower FS% than the previous seasons isn't related to a decline.
