By "beats his ass" I suppose you mean bagel him.partygirl said:i hope federer beats his ass....just because of the smack down he put on roddick at the french.
The cincy draw had a quarter full of claycourt specialists. Someone had to come out. It's not like they are causing upsets and beating hardcourt players.Sjengster said:Hey look, universe man - Acasuso, Gaudio and Puerta have all managed to have a significant result on something other than "the red crap". Astonishing, isn't it?
The BH DTL always gives Federer problems. One of the reasons that JCF, Andre, and Nalbandian had success against him the past is that they can hit that shot as good as anyone. Federer tends to give up that shot--if you can hit it consistently, which most players cannot, you can really trouble him. I see Federer pulling it out in two tough sets.I just saw the Acasuso - Horna match and Acasuso did not play bad. Roger better be ready for that high caliber backhand down-the-line shot. It gave him a lot of trouble at the AO against Safin. In the last few games Acasuso's 1st serve was also holding up nicely.
You have some awfully low expectations for players who are supposed to be top 10.Sjengster said:Hey look, universe man - Acasuso, Gaudio and Puerta have all managed to have a significant result on something other than "the red crap". Astonishing, isn't it?
Yeah, but I got to thinking that I have never seen Acasuso play the cross court backhand (something Safin can do) and I was very encouraged by Fed's successful forays into the net. He could easily cut off that shot by coming to the net if he wanted to since Acasuso will mostly play the same shot.NYCtennisfan said:The BH DTL always gives Federer problems. Yep, the main reason being that federer likes to cover his weaker backhand wing as much as he can, so he can hit his fh most of the time.NYCtennisfan said:The BH DTL always gives Federer problems. Don't you bitch about these players only doing well on clay? Two of them get a decent result on a non-clay surface and now they count as top 10 players in your eyes, you didn't rate them before, so don't use the low expectations to justify an above average result.uNIVERSE mAN said:You have some awfully low expectations for players who are supposed to be top 10.
