Gerasimov is another in the line of much improved at late age.

On top he's tough and quite clutch.

Kwon's time will come. For now, Gerasimov gets much deserved ranking points.

Kwon played really well in the 2nd set, I thought he would win, he had 2 virtual MPs, but Gerasimov served big on them.
After that Belarusian got a new motivation, played amazing TB and Kwon didn't stand a pressure - started to make more errors and lost a crucial service game early in the last set.

I like the surface, it's fast and low bouncing. I enjoyed this match, there were a lot of winners and net play.

I didn't watch, but I agree that this tournament is fun to watch. Vesely - Ivashka was great. In my personal power rankings for the last 52 weeks - Gerasimov was better than f.e. Pouille or Chardy or Basilashvili, who get much more attention. Actually he's been the 2nd fav to win the title after Paire for me, right now is obviously 1st.
