The President's Cup in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent will not be held again, according to tournament organisers.
A statement said the tournament "has fully served its purpose and will no longer be held as Uzbekistan has already become a centre of various other tennis tournaments."
The tournament began in 1994 and this year's event was won by Yevgeny Kafelnikov earlier this month.
Other past winners include Tim Henman in 1994 and 1995, and Marat Safin in 2000 and 2001.
Uzbekistan has experienced a tennis boom in the last decade, which was was widely credited to Uzbek President Islam Karimov's passion for the sport.
A special 3,000-seat tennis complex was built in Tashkent to host the $550,000 tournament
