What about adding :

Fans' Favourite:

Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award:

Winners in the above categories have been the most difficult to predict, after all!

Haha, don't be cheeky..

The recipient of those will always have the initials RF.

POTY: Too early to tell after only one major important event, but Novak is the current frontrunner

Newcomer: Too early to tell

Most Improved: Tomic, maybe? Isner?

Comeback: Melzer?

Nadal won this award once..... That should tell you everything you need to know.
Should've won it at least 5 times if it wasn't so biased towards Fed.

Murray went from being a slamless nobody to being Olympic and US Open champion. Most improved seems in place

why do only federer and co win that sportmanship award, give it to lower ranked plays, no?

Tell that to his colleagues - it's they who vote for the Sportmanship award, not we; they're the ones who interact with him from close quarters year-round - we watch, mostly from a great distance

Okay, the year didn't turn out quite like I predicted.

The only pick I got somewhat right is Benoit, although I guess he's been around too much to be considered 'newcomer' in 2012.

If I had to make my picks now:

Player of the Year: Andy Murray

Newcomer of the Year: Jerzy Janowicz

Most Improved Player: Go Soeda

Comeback Player of the Year: Brian Baker
