Jurgen should have won his match again Smyczer ranked 187 in the world, but he did not. I am certain the crowd was for the American Smyczer. That should not bother Jurgen. He seems to have more trouble agains lesser ranked players and loses often when he is expected to win.

Jurgen and Petzschner withdrew from the doubles. The explanation was Jurgen's back. That was a problem all last year for him and he thought it was better. He must have reinjured it and that explains his loss yesterday.
He will have some time for his trainer to get him back in shape for Indain Wells I hope.
