Some nice match-ups tonight:
Canas over Boredo @ 1.72
Both have similar styles of game, but Canas is simply better at it. He has dropped somewhat in the 2nd half of the year, but he should still be good enough to beat this chump.
Baghdatis over Davydenko @ 2.70
Although Davydenko is defending champ, he has both TMC and a Davis Cup final coming up. He really shouldn't be wasting his effort here. For those of you who followed the Del Potro-Davydenko game yesterday, if DP had converted one of those set points in the 1st set, I'm pretty sure Davy would have throw it in the same way DP did.
Berdych over Ferrer @ 1.60
The former champ here was outstanding against Ancic, and he still has a chance at qualifying for Shanghai. Froggy on the other hand will devote more practice time to his Mandarin phrasebook.
Gasquet over Blake @ 1.80
Classic match-up between the purist and the ball bashing hack. Hopefully Richie will tell Mr. Freedom Fries where to go stick them.
Youzhny over Haas @ 1.75
Haas hasn't been looking great recently, and the General is playing like a man possessed.
Nalbandian over Federer @ 4.50
The real world #3 played his best tennis of the year in Madrid, and I expect him to continue it here. Should be a solid battle, but don't expect Roger to over-exert himself ahead of Shanghai.
Wawrinka over Nadal @ 4.50
If Nole can tank, why not Rafa too?
