Ginepri to beat Nieminen @ 2.12

Nieminen has been really horrible recently and his season overall has been a bit disspointing, especially the later half of the year. He has only beaten mugs in recent weeks - only beaten one top 50 player since Wimbledon.

Ginepri on the otherhand showed signs of some form last week in Madrid where he won 3 matches including the qualifying matches before bowing to Federer where he worried Fed for some moments. Ginepri has an excellent record against left handers in recent years and likes this time of the season.

Agree with that. Haven't played it yet but most likely will.

I like the look of Rochus over Llodra. He leads the h2h 5-1 including 3 wins on carpet. He also has a decent recent record against lefties (11-4 since the start of 06) and has a positive h2h against other s/v lefties Lopez and Guccione. Recent wins over Navarro-P and Mahut are further evidence that he likes the s/v match-up.
Also Llodra retired during the first set of a challenger quarter-final last week so may not be fully fit.
1.75 seems an ok price here.
Agree, once again, Jaap! BOL :yeah:

Apparently Ollie was suffering from a sore right shoulder, last week, meaning that he couldn't serve 100%. Not sure how much you want to read into that.
Anybody else with me on Clement vs Becker ?

Clement lost to both tournament winners in Nalbandian and Karlovic but taking 1 set away from both off them . Becker had nice run in Bangkok but hes back to reality now after his loss to P. Luczak . I couldnt find his stats on carpet court , did he ever have a match on that surface ?

Thanks for the info. I was wondering why he'd been off for a couple of weeks. Anyway, the price on Ollie is coming in nicely so should I decide to "cancel" I can do so with a small profit. I'll have a think.....

I must admit I'm on the other side..I think Nieminen will take this..took him at evens but I'm having my doubts now..

I only saw the first few games of his match with Nole in Vienna...and, on the basis of that performance, I'd be wanting more than 2.10 to side with him. I'd say it is a fairly even contest, but Jarkko would have the edge when it comes to brains.
Busy day, today. :p

I have always believed that Kirilenko is very overated, she played julia at the us open and was tottally destroyed, yes kiri did beat julia at the aussie open but vakulenko had injury worries during that time.

Julia possesses a quite a good serve for the womens game and rallies well, her serve should help her even more in the enviroment they are playing in, kirilenko has been abit quite for a few weeks now since winning a low tier event in asia, players are looking foward to a break now and re-charging their batteries, anything can happen in this match and the odds are plain wrong.

Schiavoni has a awful record at Linz, 4 straight 1st round defeats, so does katerina so something will have to give today, katerina leads the head 2 head 2-1, schiavoni struggles with similar players who have her kind of style, if katerina can serve well throughtout which she normally does she has a great chance today, schiavoni is marginally better in the rally department but i hope srebotnik can come to the net and keep the points short and sweet.
