He is terrible on clay, and fluke wins such as today won't make us believe the opposite.

He beat Fabbiano in '08, would a bad clay courter pull such a win? Answer is no.

Mahut is typical player for grass and perhaps indoors. Fast surfaces in general. Here is pleasure to watch. :worship: :worship:

He has negative record on clay, with some occasional good victories. His tennis suffers on dirt.

Compared to Groove, most certainly, although the latter doesn't have a lot of experience on red clay.

Mahut is not a good player on anything and clay is by far his worst surface.

Formidable guy though, great personality. But clay tennis - nah..

I think his style is much more suitable for hardcourts and especially grass, not so much for clay.
