Nick played like a beast. Bagel Gasquet! That's sweeter than Roger's bagels on Rafa!

Nick is having a fantastic year. Bad news he's around 50 in race, good news he's playing much better consistent tennis, not looking like losing to lower ranked, and no catastrophe this year! Been many months since the last incident, slowly but surely he is winning back fans with this performance. Utterly worshipped in GM thread, by same people who were constantly bitching about him :yeah:

So Nick has defended all points from Estoril. All he have to defend on top is 90 from Madrid, which he can in one swoop next match, and he'll be 150-200 points from RG top 32. Shouldn't be too hard way he's playing.

Haven't really been able to watch much tennis or visit this forum much this year so far because my new job and other 'real life' stuff, but have been monitoring Nick's progress this week and caught the Marseilles final today!! So, so proud of Nick.:hatoff:
He was simply unplayable all week if all the highlights are anything to go by! Beating TWO top 10 players back to back and then comprehensively triumphing over a very recent slam champion! :sport:
And his demeanour, so calm, clinical and efficient (by his standards)! :surprise: Long may this version of Nick continue!

Reckon he might be a bit knackered to do as well in Dubai but I'm ready to be pleasantly surprised. :wink2:

Excellent work by Nick. Watched his matches this week and was impressed by the tennis.
Head still needs some work but is improving, it will be interesting to see his court demeanour now that the "ban" hanging over his head has expired. I hope he holds it together and matures accordingly because with the type of tennis he plays, there are plenty more wins to come.
Two x top 10's in a week + Cilic - that is good stuff.

Well done Nick and enjoy your maiden victory

Nick starts a little rusty in Dubai after his epic week last week, but shakes the rust out and gets it going to come-back from a set down to beat the No.7 seed, 26 year old Slovakian Martin Klizan (ATP25) 36 63 62. Match stats favoured Kyrgios slightly on serve, but still got broken 4 times, at least once in each set but was able to break Klizan 6 times to maintain ascendency in the match.
Keep it going Nick - 6 wins in a row now - not often that happens in a player's career.
