Du11 dodging hardcourts once again. And his fans were the one giving shit to Grandpa Fed for skipping the clay court season. Just learning the hard way I see.

Nadal should just play clay tournaments from now on. The only non clay tournaments that he should play are the 3 non clay majors. For rest of the season, he should just play on clay. It's obvious that his body can't handly the rigours of non-clay tennis.

Logical decision. I hope he skips a couple of clay tournaments as well. Now more than ever it's time to measure out his schedule more to prolong his great career.

All these major and masters semifinal withdrals/retirements.

NID, Nadal will focus on clay to be fully rested and injury free. He doesn't feel his knees playing on clay.

In less than a month til Monte Carlo, Dull will be injury free. It is such a wonder how well he always recovers and runs like Flash on the red dirt, no?

This is disappointing. I was looking forward to Roger making it six in a row.

My fav is Federer too but y be so critical of Rafa? He is a good dude who is arguably the 2nd or 3rd greatest player in tennis history

Just what i said yesterday, rest well champ

This was probably Rafa last match until Monte Carlo. <img src="https://www.tennisforum.com/images/smilies/erm.gif" border="0" alt="" title="unsure" class="inlineimg" /> <img src="https://www.tennisforum.com/images/smilies/hysterical.gif" border="0" alt="" title="hysteric" class="inlineimg" />

I would not be surprised at all if he withdraws from the SF and the Miami Open.

Amazing how Khachanov with a positive W/UE Ratio (36/32) against a limping Rafa wasn't enough.
Thank. Just waking to this news. He has withdrawn from so many tournaments. Time to re-evaluate I think. He is saving himself for clay. With clay he plays through the pain if what his uncle says is true but that can’t be the long term strategy into your 30s right?

Kind of a downer to essentially see Nadal out of Indian Wells AND Miami for a second straight year.

starting to truly think he should play a massively reduced schedule for the rest of his career. like under 10 tournaments a season, just prioritize certain ones.

Like play: Australian Open, Indian Wells, Monte Carlo, Rome, RG, Wimbledon, Canada, US Open, WTF and that's it. no playing Mexico, no playing more than two clay court events in the spring and then sprinkling in the hardcourt around
