Nadal played Blake, not Ginepri, but I get your point.Clara Bow said:If I recall correctly, the past two times that Coria played the USO he reached the quarters (was unable to play in 2004 because of his shoulder). And if it wasn't for his gawdawful serving this year against Ginepri- he very well may have made it to the semis. He is no slouch on hard courts by any means. In fact, he Federer, and Nalby are the only players this year to reach the Round of 16 at all grand slams. Just because Coria does well on clay does not mean that he is a pushover on hard- not at all.
I hope both players play really well and we have a great match. Nadal is starting to get his act together and Coria did so as well during his third set against ToJo. I like both of them, so will be happy for either to win (and sad for the loser).
Chloe, but if Rafa wins, what will the HATAS say about Guille losing?Chloe said:You don't want to see Nadal win his tenth title on the year?
Actually, I kind of want Coria to win... but if he does, I can't hear the HATAS whine that Nadal blows and he will never again win ten titles in a year again - as if that is some sort of smack down
I hope Coria can take revenge from that Final, IMHO one of the best finals this year gave us :worship:R.Federer said:I think Coria will take revenge for Roma. He played also very good on hard courts in the USO. But nadal is very tough. I hope it is a good match and I hope there is some televise coverage
