Rafa has a boring draw up to the QF. Great for him, great for his fans, but nothing of interest for anyone else.

Meanwhile, Dominic is negotiating the HGSDOAT (hardest grand slam draw of all time). It's an epic quest, full of excitement, interest, intrigue and the prospect of glory.

One of the men's Chatrier slots on Friday will probably go to Stan-Gaston, as Gaston is French.

The other should go to Dominic-Ruud. It's clearly the tie of the round, and fairness dictates that scheduling trouble should not compound Dominic's already Herculean task, especially with weather likely to be an issue.

So, do the decent thing, RG, and put Dominic-Ruud on Chatrier on Friday.

Agreed. Stan vs Gaston should be a lock on Chatrier cause Gaston is the one and only male French player in the third round. Tomorrow there are no French players in action, which is the real embarrassment. Nadal indeed can play one match on the second court. Thiem is no longer a mug. He is a firm title contender and despite the fact that in terms of greatness he is nowhere near Nadal he deserves equal treatment due to his status as one of the main favorites to win the thing.

How can it be the hardest Slam draw in a Weak Clay Era? Fedfans are supposed to be intelligent like our hero.

Based on RG tradition, yes. But isn't Chatrier the only court with fans this year? I could see Nadal and Djokovic playing there every match until they're out of the tourney.

Here is Dominic's reaction after learning that he will not play on Chatrier during rainy Friday

should be put on S-M or outside due to the irelevance of the match

No worries, they'll move Wawrinka-Gaston to start and/or finish on Chatrier once the two women's matches (guessing Halep-Anisimova and Garcia-Mertens) and Nadal-Travaglia plus Thiem-Ruud are completed ;)

4R might actually make more sense. Thiem-Wawrinka is obviously match of the day, but you're crazy if you'd take Nadal-Martinez over Zverev-Sinner.

Dominic has already played one match outside PC and he’s the 3rd seed. So it’s only fair if he plays on PC R3. So either Stan or Rafa should play on SL.

We'll see what happens, but I agree I don't see the organizers preferring Nadal-Travaglia on PC as compared to Thiem-Ruud or Wawrinka-Gaston. Based on player quality, Nadal-Travaglia should be preferred to Wawrinka-Gaston, but it's the only remaining French player against a former winner.
