The Slam race will be a nerve-racking nail-biting thriller.

The GOAT race not so much, as Federer has already won it in popular opinion and history & Fed's huge fanbase will favor JesusFed as the best ever at his peak.

He's right. Nadal is one of the two (the other being Tio Toni)

It's not all about slam count. Weeks at No. 1 and head to head are also important factors.

Rafa is absolutely right. He said it as it is. Why is it a surprise? In fact, people started seeing him above Federer. I mean, MTF is a Fedtards forum, he has been the most hated player here over the years in almost every poll conducted here, and he has been leading the "GOAT" poll conducted here a few days ago throughout and also now with 61 votes, Federer with 57 votes, and Djokovic with a mere 8 votes and not even close to Rafa and Federer. Hence, it is clear that Djokovic is out of the discussion and is not there yet, and Rafa and Federer are the top two greatest players of all time.

Let's face it, the limit and the bar is set already. It is 20. Without 20 slams, you are not entering the GOAT debate.

He mentions him in the very next sentence
He mentions all 3 in the next sentence, and then goes on to say that we have to wait how the 3 will do in the future and how they stand when all is said and done. This is what we have all been thinking as well. Aren't we? What's new?

Not nearly hated these days as he used to be 10 years ago or so though.

Some future prodigy can easily enter the GOAT debate if he e.g. amassed 18 slams around the 30th birthday (picking up a career ending injury thereafer), as wells as eight or nine y.e. no.1 seasons, winning every slam at least four times because there was no ATG clay player for the better part of his career.

True, but the whole point is that Nadal does not consider Djokovic to be the GOAT, as we speak in October 2020. That's a big statement. Djoke tards in ruins. And it's not click-bait.

So much truth in what he ☝ says.

Scroll down ^^^ for the results.

To lead the "GOAT" poll thread here on MTF, a few days ago, major props to Rafa for turning it around.

Of course, he convinced himself that he was the best because he bought the media propaganda, and beat sycophantic, overrated, lovefest letter writing Fed, but he’ll get bashed numerous times by a man that infected himself with COVID. Bulldal’s Humblelito act doesn’t fool anyone. We know you’re disrespectful, Humble liar.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 No one‘s butthurt.

Hardly anyone is even aware of how many weeks each player is ranked #1 or the masters titles.
Even I can't remember those stats.
Wrong. Everyone knows Fed has been #1 for the longest and that Djokovic completed the Golden Masters. And everyone knows Bull has never won the tournament of the best aka ATP Finals.

Also, if my considerably younger opponent deliberately & persistently took 10-15 second more between the points than what was allowed (fighting for the biggest titles on the slow & fast surfaces), I couldn't consider him humble at all, but as a pretty insolent young fellow and trickster, including his older mentor who forced him to do that, in order to have a clear-cut physical, mental and tactical advantage come sets four and five vs any OHBH, including Federer's.

No amount of nice words and polite behaviour after the match and off the court(s) could change that impression, including all the money our rivalry might've elicited from the sponsors.

Federer had all the authority needed to force his young archrival to humbly abide by the time rule, even well before he started losing grass & HC titles to him as well, not just at RG.

Shot clock and AO'17 came way too late, just postponing the new goat inauguration for a few more years.

So, it is really Federer's own fault, either his humbleness, or his arrogance in believing that he would be able to beat him anyway.
