Stan has the game to be top 20, no question, but he doesn't have the belief against the top players. Against these guys, when crunch time comes and he needs to make the play work, he falters.
Boooooooooo
Well done Rafa :hatoff:
Never in doubt, expected win, etc...

o_O Stan. What a headcase... he should really do something about his mental fortitude. He HAS the game to trouble Raf, if he weren't such a gigantic choker on BP conversion.

Anyway, the best player won.
Expected win by Nadal

Never in doubt

This Nadal is good

What a mug this Wawrinka is.

Anymore?
Woooooooooooooooo! :D

That's all the good news am gonna get today....
Agree with what has been said..

I thought that we were in for an upset when Stan broke to lead 4-2 in the first set; but Nadal [in true champions style tbh..] broke back to love. Obviously Nadal ups the ante but Stan had to put up a better defence of his break..

Stan played most of the big points badly.
Rafa played most of the big points well.

:)

And the funny thing is, Nadal didn't do sh1t to break back. Stan miss all his 1st serves.
Stan shit himself as usual in the clutch moments.
I knew it would be a tough match, and Stan came out firing. He probably would have beaten just about anyone in that 1st set. But then, of course, he went all...stupid for a bit there, and Rafa took full advantage. All matches aren't cakewalks, but Rafa pulled through that very well. And played much better in the 2nd set than in the first. Played much better than yesterday as well. All good signs.
woooHooooooo
Absolutely right :D
Rafa! :yeah:
So, none of the swiss guys to pass in the next round?

With Swiss #1 out I can't see #2 going past Nalbigod :yeah:
Surprisingly, their closest match was the one on clay.
