Nadal 23-10 Federer
Nadal 12-1 Wawrinka (Before Aussie Final Wawrinka never took a single set)
Nadal 12-1 Gasquet (the only Gasquet victory was on challenger 2003 and Nadal retired after first set!)
Nadal 5-0 Dimitrov
Nadal 5-0 Haas (Haas still waiting for set and it's not likely to happen in this life)
Nadal 10-1 Almagro
Nadal 12-1 Kohlschreiber

Nadal eats them for breakfast so why everybody thought Dimitrov will be "pain in the ass" for Rafa

Nadal's 23-10 against Federer

Grigor can usually hit his backhand better and not shank the ball ala Federer's backhand versus Nadal. Usually Dimitrov is a tough matchup for Rafa because he is the challenge Federer would be if his backhand held up. Grigor also has no mental block vs Rafa, or at least he didn't used to. Might be developing one nowadays. Federer knows he's going to lose when he plays Rafa and Rafa knows it too.

I agree about 23-10 those Abu Dhabi exh matches doesn't count. Also i was always on different opinion about Rafa next "pain in the ass" . This Dimi one hander will pull him down against Rafa big time.

Dimitrov played better in AO14, but that was on HC. Clay is another matter. He just had a bad day.

Fed took those 10 wins since he is experienced and confidenced by Roddick.
Given the position Dimi, faces 13 slam winner with 0 glam holding, he could not do better.
I mean young Federer plays today's Rafa will also have a 0-7 record or sth like that, I am sure for that

It was not just a bad day in the office.

I could imagine what would Djokovic do if he was in his shoes before that SF match of his career (first time Masters SF against no.1 who played a tough final just last Sunday and already had three three-setters here), dumping that doubles match once in singles QF and be totally dedicated to the match against Rafa instead of Sugarpova and birthday celebration, giving his 101% on court trying to make his first masters final no matter what.

Berdych won his first and only Masters 2005. as 20 y. old, reaching his next final 5 years later.

Wawrinka made his first Masters F 2008. (lost Rome to Djokovic) as 23 y.old and the second (Madrid) 5 years later(last year).

Raonic made his first Masters F last year and was close to his second here.

The Fossil only losing 5 times to Nadal in 36 years is a fantastic achievement.

Nadal 11-4 Youzhny

For whatever reason youzhny has had some success vs nadal and won the same amount of matches as Wawrinka, Gasquet, Dimitrov, Haas, Almagro, and Kohlschreiber combined.

Its just so tough for a 1 hander to consistently take the ball early and suffocate nadals heavy topspin forehand like djokovic can do with his 2 hander, even more so on clay.

dimitrov was never going to challenge dull, or any one semi-decent for that matter, this guy is rated simply because he is supposedly the best of his gen, even though that entire gen are flops

verdasco is the only one-hander who I think is a 'natural' matchup problem for dull, albeit simply because he's a leftie as well and he has talent and the skill

Verdasco's killer slice is very trouble for Rafael indeed.

You would have to say Djokovic's one hander is Nadal's nightmare really.

You probably believe Santa is real too because how can you be sure of something that could never happen? Without Roger, Rafa would not have reached the heights he did. Since Roger was #1, Rafa and his team worked hard to surpass him. It just didn't happen by chance.
