I don't think Rafa's finishing #3, even if he doesn't play the rest of 2018, Rogie's too far behind to catch up, has to win Basel and at least London F going 3-0 in his RR to be #2 I think... I think Rogie's doomed to being #3 to finish 2018, not that #3 is bad at the age of 37, but it seems that Djokovic and Rafa were too good in 2018!!

7,660 Rafa, 6,260 Rogie in the race, which is what will equal the rankings when London is complete...

Therefore, Rogie is 1,400 points behind Rafa, unless Rafa doesn't play the rest of 2018, or plays and wins 0 more matches in 2018, basically 0 more points, Rogie will stay #3 or lower most likely...

Only Del Potro and/or A. Zverev can overtake Rogie for #3...

Rogie being 1,400 points behind Rafa would have to win Basel and make the London F undefeated in the RR (500 +1,000 for 1,500 points) or F of Basel and win London undefeated in the RR (300+1,500 for 1,800 points), plus Rafa basically not play the rest of 2018 or win no more matches playing the rest of 2018...

Conclusion: There's virtually 0% chance of Rogie finishing 2018 ranked higher than #3!!

Here's the race numbers now: Rafa 7,660; Djokovic 7,045 (can be 7,445 with a win in the Shanghai F tomorrow); Rogie 6,260; Del Potro 5,860; and A. Zverev 5,025...

Rogie winning Basel would really do well for his chances of staying #3 to finish out 2018 and at least a SF in London going 3-0 in RR (500+600 equals 1,100 points)...
