Hugely gutsy win for Andy, keeps alive his hopes of Shanghai

Trailed 3-6 4-4 and there was a huge game on his serve with a hell of a lot of deuces, saved 2 break points which would've ended his chances.

Then saved another 3 break points in the 3rd. First tiime in a while he's won a match which he probably should have lost, he doesn't do it often

Tough SF against Youzhny now, but certainly winnable.

Well done Murray... if he keeps playing well, and toughing out matches like he did today then he has an outside chance of making it (of course, another strange tournament like Madrid is probably needed)

All he needs for Paris is to be in Federer's section of the draw, and then he has a great chance of doing well and gaining the points that he needs to make it to Shanghai

Tursunov played such a tough match and Andy fought with himself for about an hour before finally starting to pull out his good play. He never quite hit the very heights but he stayed very tough and found enough in his bag of tricks to just edge over the finish line.

Such a great win because Dima really came to play today and Andy had to really fight hard to avoid defeat. I'm so impressed with the fortitude shown there.

It's going to be TOUGH! But Andy's decision to play St. Petersburg seems to be paying off! Youzhny won't be easy though.

Hopefully Karlovic can do a job over Berdych in Lyon and Falla can see of Ljubicic in Basel!

I thought Murray was rubbish to be honest way to passive, in some matches he just like he doesnt care, he needs to work on his intensity.

If he plays like that against Youzhny he will be soundly beaton.

Respect for the Scot, normally Dima is a good matchup for him but this was a very dangerous match with Dima playing at home indoors. Two brilliant lobs to give Andy the break in the 3rd.

Dima didn't take his chances but I am glad he didn't seem to suffer from his back, it was sad to see against Pashanski.

Andy had completely the wrong attitude - you could see this from his body language before he had even hit a ball. Some how he toughed the match out and saved all those break points. He's going to have to come out a lot more positive tomorrow. That's two bad attitude days in a row i don;t think he'll get away with another.

I would be more excited to see Murray there than Blake or Haas, no offence, he just seems more talented, and he's make a knack of creating pulsating exciting matches.
