Only saw the 2nd set, Murray looked very impressive despite a short walkabout where Dolgo even miraculously managed to break him. To no avail as this match was pure one way-traffic.
Dolgo too erratic, bad movement, weak serving, not a shadow of the player he was yesterday against Simon. Whether that was at least partly due to Murray playing very well or some other reasons is anyone's guess - perhaps that thigh injury was indeed bothering him too much. Dolgo even apologized for his poor performance to the crowd.
The lad is so charming. Can't help it. :hearts: Hope he'll be all well for the AO.

I agree Murray played very well and that Dolgopolov was very "patchy" so to speak but it appeared as though he could not move around the court at all, he was limping repeatedly and did not even "go" for balls that were hit across the court and at a fast pace..... I seriously hope this was just some of mental weakness and not something serious...

all that being said, Murray is looking good for Australia and his stock probably has went up. Dolgopolov please fix whatever this is

Dolgo - well he played his best given that he was clearly carrying an injury (most evident whenever he was forced out wide on his forehand).

Time for Muzza to step it up at the Aus Open, and prove to everyone that he belongs up there with Nole, Rafa and Roger. :yeah:

You didn't listen to the speeches? Murray made reference to the thigh problem, he got treated in the match against Simon.

Not so much for the tennis - Andy played great, rolled right on with his form from the SF - serving big and consistently. Alex was hampered and put up a good effort but couldn't do much, needed to be at 100% to really keep himself in enough rallies to make it a tight match.

If Lendl being in the crowd means Murray won't get down on himself or start muttering, even after losing 3 games in a row out of nowhere to some on he had been beating so comfortably, Lendl must always be in the crowd. Pay him whatever it takes. But seriously, cool calm and collected Murray seems to be looking good for Australia after shaking off the rust against Kuku and Muller. :cheerleader: Let's go Muzzah! :cheerleader:
