Thus, his game lacks what it takes to really threaten Federer, Nadal, Djokovic when it matters - players who are all masters of controlled offense.

Murray's counterpart at the WTA is Caroline Wozniacki. The difference: in the womens' there are no FNDs - the only dominator there is Serena when she is fit, while the other top ladies - Clijsters, Li, Zvonareva, Kvitova, Sharapova, Stosur - have their ups and downs or get injured. So Wozniacki can become #1 without winning anything big. In the mens' when you can't win big you're #4.

Wozniacki hit 2 winners in the whole match last night. Can't really compare her to any ATP player, even Boredo.

I agree Murray is a notch above Wozniacki. In terms of winning potential Wozniacki is not in the top 5 of the ladies, she's just more consistent than most.
