Murray served out of his mind and played very well, even though Steps played to Murray's strenghts.

Why don't you play like that against that muppet Boredo, eh?

Hope you defeat that mug Chela next round and then that moonballer-clown Nadal.

The court is definitely playing very slow.

DJ Muzza decks MC Radek 6-4 6-1

Close contest till *4-5 and a couple of key passing shots squeezed Murray over the line.

Then Steps imploded and went down in flames.

Murray served as well as anytime I've seen him but he's gotta be more aggressive against Juan Mugnacio.

Expected one, serve and vollyers really don't stand much of a chance against Murray.

That first set was really entertaining to watch. Murray was making Stepanek hit difficult volleys on almost every shot and Stepanek came up with some amazing volleys then Murray stepped it up even more to break for the first set. After that, there was too much pressure on Stepanek and he lost some belief. It was great seeing Murray play so confidently.

Murray is just awesome at playing that kind of tennis and Steppa tried to mix it up but when he stayed back he got slowly outplayed and when he came forward he was forced to hit great volleys.

Wowzer. Murray is completely back now. A force to be reckoned with.

Stepanek did have a poor day with the forehand, I must say - it was flying all over the place.

Steps did hit an amazing volley that went back to his court. That's class.
:worship:

Regardless of scoreline it is always a pleasure to watch two players with this imagination and variety go toe to toe. So many different types of points and tactics.

I thought it was a solid but unspectacular serving display from Murray - 55% first serves, 6 aces, 1 DF, but much better today was his returning of the Stepanek serve - he failed to get about 4 or 5 returns into play all match and it put huge pressure on Stepanek to come up with the goods. That, coupled with Stepanek's wayward forehand, spelled trouble for the unique Czech.
