Przysiężny led 6-2 5-1 15-0. He took a tumble at 5-4 15-0. To make things even more epic, Matosevic hit the deadest net cord ever at 5-5.

Not only did he choke but also got injured.

This was to break a 10 match losing streak since the AO as well. Amazing scenes and against the Mad Dog of all players...

You guys stupid? He was totally dominating the match and then got injured, as if he'd retire if he didn't have a genuine injury after totally outplaying Matosevic for pretty much the whole match.

Sorry, did I speak sense? Frowned upon in here isn't it?

Przysiezny played incredibile until 6-2 *5-1 15-0. Served impecable, hit loads of winners, made 10 UE's at max, all this while Matosevic dind't gift too many points but was simply outpowered by the Poles shots. At 6-2 5-1 15-0 on serve Przysiezny hit all of the sudden 3 consecutive unforced errors and collapsed. The injury came at 6-2 5-4 15-15, when Matosevic advanced to the net and hit a volley which caught Przysiezny contre-pied and he twisted his right ankle. The Pole tried to continue after the medical timeout but could barely move.

Bad luck for him but this injury wouldn't have happened if he hadn't choked.

Such bad luck for Michal, he played almost flawless tennis up until 6-2,5-1, serving great, was hitting forehand winners all over the place, using his slice backhand to good effect, matosevic was struggling for points.

The game at 5-3 was a total choke then the injury at 5-4 just summed up his year so far.

Nop. Thought about Prz pregame but odd movement was too clear to take a guy like Prz.
He was not injured when he choked the 62 *51 15-0 lead. He "injured" later in the second set.
Such flawless logic.

So, some player wastes a few games and cannot close the match. So, instead of trying harder in the upcoming tiebreak, or decisive set, he decides to retire to spare himself the humiliation of not succeeding?

Yep. Surely a bet lost.

What a choke :spit:
I'm pretty sure he was going to lose regardless of injury, tough to see someone like him going from *5-1 15-0 to 5-4* 15-30 and still winning it. Hope it doesn't keep him out long though
