Re: MTF Tennis Elbow Australian Open - Final: citizen_insane vs Jamvol

Guys what do you think about following idea from lazar about MTF Tennis Elbow League:

lazar. said:
We should have league like football
Ok, about league:
League 1 (10 players) League 2 (10 players)
at the end of the season 2 worst in rankings from L1 will go to L2
and 2 best from L2 will go to L1
each player will have to play 2 times against the same opponent in the same season so 18 matches at the end
1st match you can choose surface and 2nd match your opponent will choose it
So let's say first 12 for example and you can play your opponent whenever you're down for it. Whatcha say? I find this idea very interesting.

I'm up for it. But I appreciate that as a dosser student with no social life, I can more easily dedicate some of my free time to TE than many of the others in the group.

League idea sounds cool.

I won't be at home this evening unfortunately. Can we play tomorrow so I can recreate my Murraytard AO final Sunday misery for nostalgia purposes? :hatoff:
Sure, no problem. Can it be 2010 though so I don't have to be Novak in this scenario?

Well this would last like the whole year and guess it'd be worth to award points for beating fellow top10 players. That would be just like a WTF in a season (and/or we could get rid of that boring indoors exho at the end of the year).

Preview MTF Tennis Elbow Australian Open Men's singles

citizen_insane vs [7] Jamvol

World No. 9 Jamvol, Scotland's number 1, moved to within one victory of writing history as the very first British to win an MTF TE Slam, the second title overall for Great Britain after currently retired Khronos' stellar run to his first and only title in Brisbane '17, in a ruthless performance against Serbian number two Darth Revan. However, he's facing at his first Slam final the unbeaten Polish number two citizen_insane who has an impeccable 11-0 record overall before this final.

Both finalists didn't drop a set this whole tournament long, first time neither of the finalists did since the last edition of MTF TE AO in 2017. Citizen_insanerer will look to clinch his second title overall and to further cement his status as ÜberBOAT on this tour. If anyone then Jamvol has a chance to beat the unbeatable seeming all surfaces specialist. Lots of Scots and Brits pilgrimed to Melbourne the past days to Melbourne, in the hope of witnessing their countryman to hold the urgently desired Australian Open trophy. The Polish fan colony is celebrating for days already as both of their men made it to the Semifinals of this tournament, set up the first meeting between two players of their country in MTF TE's history. C_i won't be able to complain on lacking support tomorrow night.

We're looking forward to a hopefully hard fought and spectacular final. Let's go Jamvol, Szybciej citizen_insane! #CIvsJamvol

the league idea is acutally pretty good from lazar , I would like to see it in action will be pretty interesting

I will be more than happy to be put in my place in thrown into league 2

I am very curious what will happen when I become one of the last 2 in league 2 there is no league 3 so I will disappear mysteriously or if the tables are circle shaped I will become from the other end of league 1

" that will be such an interesting match .. I think one of the players will win

and what may surprise you .. that if one of the players win , the other one will lose immediately . , the result may be affected by the question of " who will serve first ? " because if you serve first you have a chance to hold .. but you also have a chance to get broken .. and some say if you go serve first then the other player will be serving next "

" and mats , who do you think has the best chance to win the final ? "

" I think the one who goes 6-0 6-0 5-0 40-0 up will have a very good chance to win "

" mats , do you think each player's serve will have a role in deciding the winner ? "

" of course , in tennis you can't start the point unless someone serve , or .. sorry what do you mean ? "

Now this final can't be more underwhelming than the AO final, can it?

This final doesn't deserve analysis of such sophistication.

All right @citizen_insane, what sort of time is good for you today?

It was a match. We played.

It was fun though because Jamvol is very uncomfortable to play against, so random and unpredictable, especially with that short slice. Could be very dangerous if his own actions didn't seem like a surprise to him as well.

I would like to dedicate my performance to the great Andy Murray, who showed that if you believe in your dreams, even a humble Scot can achieve a slam plate. I hope platevol did Murray and the people of Scotland proud today.

In all seriousness, gratz on the title c_i. Would have easily triple bagelled me if he'd played seriously. Good luck to anyone trying to stop him in the future. You'll need it.
