Will this be the most wide open FO since 2004?

Nadal is out of form.
Djokovic is injured (to some degree anyway)
Wawrinka is playing the best tennis of his life.
Federer is playing top 3 tennis and has been very consistent even beating djokovic on clay and taking stan to 3 sets.

More dark horses as the greatest clay courter ever is not in form.

Best chance for ferrer ever perhaps.
Any other players perhaps?

Yep. Between 3 players instead of 2 this year. WIDE OPEN.
I did not say it was wide open. I said the MOST wide open. Go back to school.

now listen what's gonna happen

Djokovic won't play due to injury or will arrive there lacking of matches and form.
Even if Fed plays he is so much on and off on daily basis that can't be a factor for RG, title wise ofc.
Kudos to Wawrinka but winning b2b slams :spit:
With all respect towards rest of the company but they aren't a factor for RG title.
And Nadal will win it playing worse than ever.

Mark my words and make fool of me if i miss it completely

Nadal is struggling with confidence.

Djokovic is injured and needs to take some time off to fix some things.

Federer may not even play considering Mirka's pregnancy.

Wawrinka has a great chance to get the first 2 legs of the slam.

No, unless Nadal is injured, he WILL win against anyone if Djokovic is injured.

Huge chance for Marin Cilic according to Lenders.

There are a few more weeks to go still. If Rafa wins the remaining 3 tune ups then this thread effectively becomes null and void. Nole won MC last year and yet was easily taken care of by Rafa @ RG. Rafa absolutely destroyed finalist Ferrer to win the title. So no. This is anything but wide open. Until proven otherwise, the GOAT is the de facto RG champion. Everyone else will be left fighting for scraps.

It doesn't really matter if Rafa wins or not the other 2 M1000.

He WILL be different in Paris on best of 5.
