Obviously has to be Federer, I hope you were kidding about Roddick.

this poll should be who is the most versatile except federer?

that would be a much closer poll.

nalbandian and djokovic with nadal right behind both of them.

It's got to be Karlovic. He's won titles on all surfaces this year: hardcourt, grass and the (real) clay of Houston :D.

:haha: good one. He IS getting better all the time, BTW.

Make this a poll, and leave Feds out. Then it may become interesting!

Federer
Djokovic
Nalbandian
Nadal

Those are the top 4 for pretty obvious reasons. Djokovic > Nalbandian because Nole's last 3 slams have been S/S/F (and the semi at Wimbledon could have been different had he not been injured), whilst Nalbandian hasn't made a slam final since 2002.

Nadal still needs to perform at US and Oz.

I think the most versatile doesn't necessarily mean winning on all surfaces, but being equally good on all of them. Federer, Nalbandian and Gasquet would be on top of my list. Djokovic is relatively weak on clay I think and Nadal is way better on clay than on anything else.

No offense to the thread starter, but I fail to see the interest in a question where the answer is so obvious 10 GS finals in a row don't lie

This is a no-brainer, The King is the obvious answer.
