My favorites:

Russia vs Serbia (all players in great form)
Israel vs Sweden (Sweden is favorite but Israel is very good at home and has world class double)
Argentina vs Great Britain (think Argentinians are in bad form but much stronger in clay)

Best two, imo, are:

Russia / Serbia - likely to hinge on the doubles.

Israel / Sweden - no Soderling, and either Bjorkman / Swedish rookie playing #2 singles spot. Good chance for Israel.

Can't really see USA losing to be honest mate.

With Bryans they are already practically 1-0 up. Melzer is the weak link imo...will be surprised if he gets all that near to Roddick, and I'd be half-expecting Blake to beat him too.

But the beauty of Davis Cup is that anything can happen, so hopefully it will be a close tie!

There's only one tie that's hard to predict in this round and even that could be over in 2 days if Tipsy is on form.

Russia v. Serbia by far. We have to see who will play at the first place. Russia has a good chance, but they decided to play on hard court... Djoko will play for Serbia, thats sure, Tipsy also, but you can never know what that guy can do. He can win anybody and he can be beaten by anybody as well. Zimonjic will surely play in doubles, but I'm not sure who will be his pair - Vemic or Troicki. On Russian side, Davydenko, Safin and Youzhny can easily beat Tipsy if he is in his lethargic mood, and he will probably be. Can't see any of these guys winning Djoko on hard court. So, first day probably 1:1. Third day will likely to be the same. So, we have doubles to decide, and its impossible to predict. On paper, Serbia looks solid with Zimonjic in the team, but he will play with the youngster Troicki or with Vemic who is not such a good choice. Doubles will decide.

I won't be surprised that Zimonjic will team up with Djokovic. That's what happened vs Australia in last year's playoff.

Can Russians still change their decision on the court type? It seems to me that going back to clay could be a good tactical decision: on hardcourt I really don't see Novak losing from any Russian - not after the AO and not competing under his beloved national flag (he always draws big amounts of energy from his patriotism) - but clay could slow him down a bit, maybe just enough for Russia to have a chance.

As for the doubles, I do expect to see Zimonjic/Djokovic team.

Tsonga is playing too for France. He just got invited today.

Australian Open runner-up Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will make his Davis Cup debut for France in a first-round tie against Romania next month.

Tsonga, who burst into the limelight with his run in Melbourne, was called up on Tuesday by captain Guy Forget to play singles alongside France number one Richard Gasquet in the February 8-10 tie in the Transylvanian city of Sibiu, Romania.

Michael Llodra and Arnaud Clement, losing finalists of the Australian Open doubles final, will play doubles.

"Being able to represent France is a dream come true," Tsonga said
