Now his career is over-
slams only, off clay courts as Federer was not a clay specialist.
what would u rate as the most disappointing?

I voted for wimbledon 2019 F. he should've won that match against a subprime djokovic. the rest, was just unlucky/or opponent was in form or in their prime.

Disappointing because of the result or because of the performance?
If it's the result, then it's certainly one of the matches where he wasted MPs against Djokovic. If it's the performance, then Robredo USO 2013

Result- has to mainly have lost a match he should have won- A Choke

The poll is unanimous- Wimbledon 2019. Might be one of the biggest chokes of all time.

Of course it’s SW19 F 2019! It has been discussed to death, not sure why similar threads keep propping up. Nothing comes close to it.

What would be interesting though, is knowing which were Nadal’s and Djoko’s worst/disappointing defeats (from their fan’s perspective), and then compare with Federer’s

Still think Fed’s would come out on top.

Nadal AO 2017 without a doubt. Novak probably FO 2013.

This can hardly be called a choke and certainly not one of the biggest of all time. It's not that he failed to convert a bunch easy points like so many other players did against Nadal or Djokovic. No smash into the net, double faults or similar presents. Djokovic defended well and in addition had some luck on his side.

That wasn't luck
True , he was very clutch in the tiebreak, in fact the 4 sets he won in the Final of 2007 and 2008 to bring it to a 5th set were all tiebreakers, he won those 4, while rafa won all his 4 sets with at least a break ahead. Not taking anything from the old man, but I just wanted to show the margins were pretty small for him to bringing it to a 5th set in 2008, and I dont say undeservedly but the outcome could have easily been different if not for 1 or 2 balls in that deciding tiebreak, but well his serve carried him in all Wimbledon finals specially 2007, 2008 and 2009 where he out-aced Roddick.
