This year, Nole beat Murray in 5 sets and came back with 1 day rest to beat Nadal in 5 sets.

In 09, Nadal beat Verdasco in 5 epic sets, and came back with 1 day rest to beat Federer in 5 sets.

Time on court:

Nadal 2009- 5:14 vs. Nando, 4:22 vs. Federer
Djokovic 2012- 4:50 vs. Murray, 5:53 vs. Nadal

IMHO although the 2012 started with a "tight" Djokovic in the first set, it ended up picking up later, and regardless of the large amount of unforced errors, the match was entertaining. Might not be entirely high quality tennis, but it was definitely entertaining and Nadal mentally pushed himself to go to a fifth. Then much like Federer, choked on his serve (probably from mental exhaustion and low second serves), and Djokovic won.

It was an interesting concept match. Because it goes to show you how mentally tough this Djokovic is. He's an animal.

In terms of impressiveness, definitely Djokovic, beating Murray and Rafa in almost 11 hours of tennis. Quality was of course not necessarily better, but it was impressive nevertheless :)

Murray is much greater than Verdasco so I would say Djokovic's.

Nole's win by far. Fed simply choked that 2009 final as he usually does against Rafa... Ok Rafa choked at 4-2, 30-15, but Nole's been a true Spartan warrior who fought back to win it all.

Djokovic's last four matches (Hewitt, Ferrer, Murray and Nadal) all required a lot of running.
I know that Nadal in 2009 had to face Haas, Gonzalez, Simon, Verdasco and Federer to claim his title, so both wins are incredibly impressive.

it is close, but in term of how impressive it was than Nole is more, Andy could have beaten him and Rafa too, the way he manage to beat 2 from top 4 guys was amazing. But by term of quality i would say both matches were better SF-Rafa-Verdasco was very high level of tennis, Verdasco playing his best match in his career and still lost was better than Andy-Nole SF, F match was shorter but Roger was very good whole event, he choked yes but still very high level final, while this final was more dramatic yes, but by quality 1st set was full of errors and than Nole was dominating Rafa in 2-3set. Quality- RAfa 09, impresivvnes- Nole 12

Have to go with Novak.

2009 AO, was great with that sf, and Rafa not even close to his best and still own Federer. Novak beating Andy and Nadal both 7-5 in the fifth, just too good though.

Nole probably, because of the nature of the match he had to face in the final. He had to play the final against a hugely physical player who would make the match very long and exhausting, but yet only had less than two days to fully recover for the battle.
