Re: Montreal QF: [1] Djokovic def. [Q] Gulbis 5-7 7-6(7) 6-1

The highlight of the match was seeing Djokohaters dreams ruined in just few minutes in the live commentary thread :haha:

Regarding the match, Djokovic was a bit off and probably he underestimated Gulbis (like pretty much everyone did) and he almost got punished
There's always at least one Noletard that says this after every close match he wins.

For an Ernests fan, this was Rome '13 all over again, although he was the better player in all 3 sets in that match, here he was for 2. Too passive on the first mp, although Djokovic just played ball machine and it was enough.

Ernests had nothing left in the third. Djokovic has complicated his Cincinnati chances, although Nadal's chances of a first 'big title' since RG 14 are now over.

Djokovic mugging around something awful, didn't seem to care too much. However, Chokebis made sure of the result, whenever he was in danger of winning he imploded.

The game after he broke was particularly hilarious: cocked around for the first point and lost it stupidly, double-fault, loses a point at 30/30 where he failed to challenge a ball that was obviously out, and then another double-fault on breakpoint.

Nadal just threw his salmon pasta out of the window.

The drama made up for some poor quality tennis. For two guys with great backhands, they hit four winners off that wing between them and I don't remember Novak putting away a smash in the whole match. The highlight was when Novak changed his shirt after the 2nd set and started posing for that woman in the crowd.

Novak wanted to tank this match, but just can't do it against Blue light house and other haters:p

The funny thing is, Djokovic pretty much gave up, and served a DF in the TB gave Gulbis 1 mini break at 5-4. Gulbis was too passive on the first mp, hoping for a UE.
