Routine victory for Tsonga, minus one minor hiccup, losing focus in the 2nd set when Albot broke and lead 2-0.
Tsonga's forehand and serve look good, though he hit few decent backhands/slices too.

Gets a chance to fight for his first title since 2017 (when he won Marseille, Antwerp, Lyon, Rotterdam), against his countryman Herbert, who seem to be in form of his life (singles).

Hopefully this is a good sign for a full 2019 season, injury free. Tour is better with Tsonga playing at good level. :boxing:

Re: Marseille SF: J. W. Tsonga def. R. Albot 6-1, 6-3

Great post, minus one minor hiccup, this is Montpellier not Marseille :p

Tsonga should withdraw from Rotterdam, he isn't ready for b2b tournaments yet. Draw is quite tough there too, resting for Marseille will be better for him.

 Fixed.

Yeah, he might withdraw from Rotterdam but play and lose quickly is what he'll do imo.

Tsonga won 25% of his career titles in 2017.

Or get injured as usual. If he's able to play the Final without limitations I'll consider it a small miracle already - good that he had an easy match today.
