Simone came back from 4-6 *2-5 down to win. Lost his opening service game of the match, got the break back for 3-*2 in the first set, but was broken to lose the set. Second set he got broken at *2-3 to 30 and Delic held to love for a 5-2 lead. Looked over, but Simone held to love and broke to 15 to stay in the match, then took at *4-1 tiebreak lead. Unfortunately, he lost that lead and it got back to 5 all before Simone won back to back points to win the breaker.

Third set, Simone saved 15-40 to hold for 2-1 and then broke the immediate next game and held from there to win. Awesome victory for the Italian. Exactly the type of victory he needed in his career to boost his spirits, renew his fighting attitude, and give him energy and the knowledge of realizing he can win close matches.

Incorrect, CD. Bolelli isn't a "players like these". He's better than Delic is.

I want Simone to lose to Serra and then get a LL position. Yes, ridiculous, I know, but I have to prioritize. I don't see Simone beating Florent, regardless. But this win was crucial, because now he is in position to get a lucky loser and make the MD. Simone needs all the points he can get.

good for Bolleli, used to be quite a decent player. Haven't really followed him, has he had to deal with injuries alot?

He's had some physical issues, but his problems are mostly mental and emotional.

True, I did forget.........if he was having vision issues that didn't allow him to see the ball correctly, that definitely would create a lot of struggles. Isn't a coincidence he's having his best start of the season in 3-4 seasons after having the eye surgery.

It's all about the beauty contest isn't it  . If they were at peak form, Delic is a much better player.

No, he isn't. Bolelli is definitely the better player from the baseline. And for no reason, he's hated on this forum, and people trash talk him, but he's a top 30 shotmaker at least, when on. Delic is not.
