The match's outcome was never really in doubt. Kei picked up his game when he absolutely had to and that was always going to be enough.

Krajicek was tired and still had 0-40 in the third which he wasted and then another opportunity where he broke but failed to hold of his own doing..............

Krajicek was pretty good and Kei was rattled by this.

No, he didn't pick up his game.
He was just pushing and spurring errors all over the court the whole match. Just Krajicek's serve deteriorated in the end which handled Kei the victory.
