2003 will be very, very, very exciting for me. Beside the fact their matches are always exciting, I expect these 2 to lead the charge ushering the old goats out the door. No offense to anyone but I am tired of Andre :kiss: , Sampras and Kafelnikov :kiss:. Go away already! Time for new blood!

the only problem with safin is he is too inconsistent over whole tournaments.

Frankly, I don't consider that a problem so much as a mystery..

It adds to what makes him so interesting IMO.

Sure it would be great if he could turn it on 80% of the time.

But if Safin was 100% in the zone every day he would never lose. And that would be boring.

I think it's Marat's inconsitancy that makes him probably the most entertaining player on the ATP tour. I would love to see him be able to concentrate more than he does, but if you ask me...he has actually gotten better and is more consistant than what he used to be. Take winning Bercy this year for example...not even a week later he totaly sucked in Shanghai but then he goes and plays 2 SUPURB games for Davis Cup. At the beginning of 2000 he couldn't even win a match. He like every other player has his moments.
