Best day for Swiss tennis in 2022 with Bellier reaching an ATP semifinal and Hüsi/Ritschard qualifying for Wimbledon.

Our 2nd guard is playing outstanding tennis, all three are not newcomers, but 25–28.

Bellier played his tennis and it suits so well on grass.
His lefty serve and his net approaches: There were 61 of them.
He served with 73% first serves and made 14 aces.

Griekspoor will find a place in an anger management group.

Bellier did not deserve to win this match, IMO. Griekspoor was the better player throughout, but couldn't clinch the break. Bellier's serve helped him out a lot, also in that TB. Once Griekspoor lost the breaker, he lost the plot.

Bellier did do well though, but I can't see him achieving much outside of grass.

Wimbledon better have a WC lined up for this guy

Huge return to come back from a minibreak down in the tiebreak and then hit two aces on top. Also hit an ace BP down in the third set.

Griekspoor piss poor mentally in that third set, hit a double fault twice to go down BP and kept crying about bad bounces

In that gif/video, Bellier plays chip and charge.

Something only Feliciano Lopez or sometimes Evans or prime Federer played. Wonderful.

It is really cool how he plays his game on grass and sticks to it. As fast as possible to the net - serve and volley, chip and charge etc. And his backhand slices look so 20th century :)

Haha he won a lot by this tournament. Now will be a perennial challenger/atp qualies player whereas his peers fight for nothing (except money) at Wimbledon.

I actually started to cheer for Bellier. He's got some nice volleys and knew how to benefit from Tallon's crappy mentality.

Tallon really needs to ditch the challenger attitude. You're in the big boy league now! He admitted he didn't act professionally after the challenger run and he's paying the price for it.

It’s always disappointing when you see a new player making a good run and assume he’ll be a prospect for the future and then you look at his birth year and he’s already 25…

Actually there are some players who play it even now. Even today Cressy against Norrie and Vavassori against Kolar played it consistently

There are two negatives, indeed his crappy mentality at times (swearing, today he didn't choose to swear with his usual swearing words but went for ''Tyfus'' and negativity on court. But als his fitness. In best of three sets this year (after the Karatsev Rotterdam match) he lost 9/11 matches that went into a decider and most of those were super winnable matches where he physically folded or got negative.

I've seen countless people on twitter say "GIVE HIM A WIMBLEDON WC" as if they don't know they've the draw is already set, and that includes whatever unpaid intern runs @tennistv, it's unbelievable.
