Good draw for Greul, please take advantage and win two matches at least.

The qualifiers are going to like their spots in the draw. 4 winnable matches. Hopefully Bjorn wins over his qualifier in R1 and can go far here. And hopefully Santi gets drawn with Copil or Crivoi.

Good R1 draw for Pippo, Kubot is a must win at this point.

Also a good first round draw for RRH, a win is a must over Machi.

All in all, I like the draw. Most likely going to be a Montanes v Hanescu final you would think. Good luck to my favorites!

disagree and agree

Przysiężny can win on clay with Greul, and he needs wins on ATP Tour, he broke bad streak in DC he can win with German here.

If I would know that SuperPippo will play like in Roma Masters I should bet my house on him to win over Kubot.

Polish Federer isn't a clay court player, and quite frankly I think he's proven he cannot handle the pressure of being on the ATP tour and playing ATP matches. I don't see him winning any more ATP matches this year until maybe indoors. Greul is a clay courter and while he's certainly not a great one, he's better than Przysiezny is on the surface. Also Michal P. is coming from playing on hard court in Latvia. I don't like his chances.

As for Kubot, I read he was injured again. Pippo plays the way he did in Rome essentially in Italian tournaments only, and is largely average elsewhere. With that said, I don't see him losing to Kubot unless Luke plays better than he has in literally months. In fact, I think Kubot may retire before the end of the match.

Ah thank you for that. But why h´is he playing when injured? That could make everything worse.
Maybe not to disappoint organizers and fans. It was the only rnd1 MD match scheduled for today, imagine what it would have been had he withdrawn, he didn't even retire even though it was obvious he was not capable of playing.
