There is no need to play beyond this match: RODDICK, Andy USA (1) v RUSEDSKI, Greg GBR

The winner of this match is clearly going to win the tournament. It's the defacto final.
This one will be packed to the rafters they'll be hanging from trees to watch this match.

Damn draw, Kiefer vs Haas.... :fiery: :rolls:

Youzhny finally back and he gets this kind of draw? Get ready for third loss to Nadal this season. :fiery: Such an unlucky year for him so far.

he got all the fluky draws he could on clay last yr
saying that Guga is no where near match right
You call his Monte Carlo run last year a fluke? Massu, Sanchez and Spadea...all quite capable on the dirt, especially Massu. How about the wins over Mayer and the RG QF win over Chela? Admittedly most of those players are having a bad season this year but they were tough opposition last year.

This draw is a monster for Tim. :help: I think he stands more of a chance against Guga now at any rate. However, Tim only ever beats him on a fast court...could be a very interesting match. I'd have Tim 40% chance to win, as opposed to 20% against the same man in May 2004.

Greg - :help: :help:  Poor guy - he has had no luck this year at all. Roger R1 in Monte C, Roger R2 in Dubai, Joachim R1 in Sydney, Roddick R2 in Aus and now Roddick R1 in Rome, injury in Marseille scuppering a chance for the SF...poor old Greg is continuing to slide. All he needs is a little good luck... :sobbing: :sobbing: There is no way he will win. If Roddick crushed him in Aus, he will give him a bigger hiding on clay. The only good thing is that the surface is faster in Rome so that will favour Greg...and Andy...and Andy is "in-form" on the clay...if you can call a Houston title good enough at any rate. It certainly will be good enough for Greg though.

I'd laugh my arse off if Greg disposed of a 6-time clay court title winner( :haha: ) who is #1 seed for the first time in a mandatory clay event... :tape:

come on andy win some rounds i dare you!

are you kidding about Andre? he got one of the easiest draws possible.

Nadal gets the worst possible draws. Youzhny is a very tough match... and Canas... Safin... blah!

Karol gets Gaston
