Rojer/Tecau beat Bryan/Bryan. Tecau was peaking with return winners in match tiebreak, good win for them.
Finally, a great win for them. So weird to see them unseeded.

I doubt it's a good idea for Dominic to play so much tennis when his main target is singles.

But other than that, nice doubles team, isn't it? ;-)
Yeah I actually didn't even know if I should cheer for them or not given Dominic is still playing singles. But they were both fully invested into the match and really wanted to get that win (especially Diego), so it's nice seeing them advance to the next round

And yes it's indeed a great pairing. Even though they both are far from being doubles specialists they actually had some decent results together, including a F in Buenos Aires earlier this year and now a Masters SF

Koolhof/Tsitsipas with another win over Murray/Soares and another Master semi-final for Koolhof (third in a row, with two finals).

Didn't know Thiem was playing doubles as well. I wonder what his chances for a singles-doubles tournament win in Madrid are.
Thiem/Schwartzman had a very easy draw though. And that continues in the SF as well (Pella/Sousa). Only the win against Marach/Pavic was good, but that team hasn't done that well all season.

Why wouldnt he? They usually lose in the first or second round anyway
They threw another possible title away. Kontinen should also be better on return than he is right now, doesn't look like a hard worker.
