There's something enigmatic about Kyrgios.

One minute, loved. Next minute, hated. One minute, arrogant. Next minute, humble.

He's like a walking contradiction. He's bi-Kyrgios.

kudos to Uncle for calling it.

i'd skip that and go for the sure thing - same price, John Isner :)

Great result. Better player and human won. Isner has played well since the Davis Cup.

Bye bye thug :wavey:

Expected result, facing Isner especially for the first time is an absolute nightmare. Only way Kyrgios was ever going to win this was by keeping focused all throughout and clutching out two tiebreaks, didn't happen...

Again it happens where someone beats Roger or Nadal and then loses next round. Beating Roger for nothing.

Isner dominated Kyrgios on serve and baseline... Kyrgios really had no chance but to hold on and edge in the TB

Kyrgios' tiebreak skills should take him far in the game. But is beating post prime Nadal and Federer on their worst surfaces enough to herald a new Ozzie dawn of tennis?

Isner :worship: Much better player won, he didn't face a single break point and also won many more points on return than Thugios.

Why is it a shame? It's always good to see thugs lose.

Did anybody catch what Isner was saying to the umpire immediately after the match.I heard something like 'Best I've ever played against???... and something like 'In this stadium you can hear anything'??..

Couldn't get all of it and was just wondering what he was trying to convey to the umpire.

Not again Nick. Not again. Raonic in Wimbledon, Isner in Madrid. Just shameful.

Kyrgios wanted to beat his idol to have a glory for 5 mins. But very soon he will get that only beating Federer would not make you GS winner as Federer got it when he beat Sampras. Especially now when Fed is at 34 and tennis is not his priority.
