Honestly... why even turn up? I find kyrgios entertaining don’t get me wrong but really it’s sad to see such a talented player just simply not care.

And Madrid is the only clay tournament where Kyrgios could be somewhat relevant, if he manages to be clutch in TBs. Should take a break until the grass court season.

Maybe it’s still not too late to try a basketball career?
He has much better chance of winning 20 slams than having a basketball career
Do you think Fed should start panicking about his slam record?

Seriously though, many of his losses are quite close matches that he could have won and he showed what he is occassionally capable of in Mexico. His issues must be 100% mental.

Yea, that's what keeps Federer up at night. :p No, imo it's probably not just mental, probably a good deal physical - similar like Tomic, Kyrgios often seems unfit, always struggling with injuries (i.e. looks poorly prepared, though I may be wrong), and of course if you are physically faltering you will take more risks, try to end the points sooner than you should and so on and look mentally weak in the end. In Mexico as well iirc he had to get medical TOs frequently, but somehow he gutted it out in the end.

Fortunately I'm only 13 years old and lack the attention span to watch matches as a whole, so I can enjoy my favourite player Gyros who is so entertaining on Youtube after such an epic encounter with probably lots of great rallyes. :hearts:

Disappointing stuff from Kyrgios
Davidovich-Fokina was more entertaining in Estoril. He served an underhand serve, but actually won that point with a winner.

Looks like Mick is contractually obliged to play a tweener every fifth shot.

That's one thing the two of you have in common. ;-)

Struff going to beat Cilic, Del Potro, Djokovic, Federer and Nadal to claim the title and leave MTF in complete ruins...

He'll get his ass busted in basketball. I don't care if he thinks he can play, his body and especially attitude are not made for that sport. I played basketball in high school and college and I can tell you he has no chance even against lower pro competition just by the fact that his lack of discipline will cause him to forget plays and his attitude will make him a locker room cancer.

It was too late even when Kyrgios was younger, because he was never any good at basketball....that's why he gave up on basketball and chose a sport he didn't like.
He's too slow to be a guard, and 6'4" is too short to be a forward....
He'd get benched the moment the coach sees he's not athletic enough to play any defense whatsoever.
Rafa is perfect for basketball, because his footwork is sublime and obviously his speed, especially when younger :armed:
