Too easy! Monfils was being casually serious on court, all smiles and some colourful play. Effortless performance :worship: (last game was a blip, had to save 3 BPs, got it done on MP #4). Monfils basically reeled off 10 games in a row from 2-2 in the first set. Troicki made it easy for Monfils, but Monfils was firing on full cylinders.


Troicki seemed disinterested towards the end, he knew nothing was going for him, too many simple errors when he wasn't winning freebies on serve. He did try to avoid a bagel but Monfils too solid overall.

Monfils will be a serious contender in this quarter.
I see him getting through Murray and meeting with Raonic, who he can beat.
