The difference between Gulbis' forehand and backhand is really worrying at this point.

Reasonably good match from Babeeb again, hopefully he can maintain his form and get the title.

Disgusting robbery in the end.

Gulbis hits a clean winner to create a BP, instead loses the point and it's MP Ferrer, but the ball was IN.

Another robbery after the Ramos SP earlier in the week, par for the course, NID  Time to use hawkeye on clay.

Gulbis played pretty well, just clinical from Ferrer.

That sets up Nishikori vs. Spain. Save the day Kei.

Ernie looked very effective when he approached the net - should have employed that tactic more often. I feel like he's very close to being a consistent top 10 threat.

Disgusting umpire's mistake at the end of the match really left a bad aftertaste - obviously we don't know what would have happened if Gulbis got that BP, but still - it sucks, there really needs to be hawkeye on court. It's even more embarrassing if umpire cheked the wrong mark.

Gulbis was good for like 80% of the match, but was absolutely awful in those 20% - he got broken for second time in 2nd set by hitting 4 really awful UEs. He was shaky from both wings today. Ferrer was really solid all around.

And although Gulbis again didn't take full advantage of the draw opening up, I still can't be dissapointed by his overall performance in this tournament. He said it himself that he came here with a cold and really didn't expect to do anything at all and that each win was just really a bonus for him. Let's see what he can manage in Rome.

im pissed. ernie got completely robbed at 30-30 when ferrer was serving for the match. The stupid ball girls calls out and the umpire checks the wrong damn mark and wont even listen to ernie who's trying to point out the right one

bad result for Fed's chances to be seeded 3rd at RG
:stupid:

Who the hell cares if he's 3rd or 5th at RG, he's got the same chances of winning it either way

yeah..maybe he would have just been broken again but maybe he would have come back and won

that umpire just really pissed me though because he wouldnt even accept that he was looking at the wrong mark.
