Unsurprising result, but that scoreline....Cameron played pretty badly today.

He already vultured a masters by beating Titan Basilashvili so no further harm done in Rio

Strategic tank from Norrie possibly . He’s got bigger fish to fry . Having said that . I didn’t see any of it .

Never good taking a bagel .

To be fair even with injury he should've closed it in the 2nd set was up 2 breaks I think.

Clay and Brits, these are two entities that repel each other.

more like tennis and brits, tbh :/ besides murray, by far the least successfull federation among the big 4

Same. I like him and his game. I don't get how he can be so inconsistent though. Maybe he's not strong enough mentally. He was so bad against Ruud... really bad. He missed every shot and struggled on his own serve, with multiple DFs. It's like I was watching a WTA match. He's good when he's "on" though. He has a nice forehand.

Well at least they do have Murray. The French haven’t won a slam in 40 years… they have a higher quantity of decent players but lack a real standout

It’s gotta be France. Murr was #1 and won Wimby twice, France hasn’t produced a real ATG in how long? Shameful considering the talent they’ve fumbled…

Crundale is dangerous. Norrie won't care as he didn't want to play longer in Lyon and maybe regrets playing there.
Guy with weapons beats guy with no weapons. This is as good as it gets for Norrie - he did well to vulture a Masters 1000 title.

but they have many consistent top 100 players. they had gasquet, tsonga and monfils not so long ago

As much as I hate to admit it, Norrie counts 🤷

Getting an underpowered player with that backhand and serve to the top 10 is a miracle. Monf, Tsonga, and Coke are all incredible talents that mostly underachieved due to mentality or injury.

Raducanu did win a slam as well .
