I really don't know if Del Potro will play again this season to be honest with his knee operation. Of course, his career is in jeopardy.

I was surprised to see Del Potro is not officially ruled out yet. Surely he is not playing, right?

Also, I could see Fognini skipping this event, especially if he makes the final in Hamburg. However, I think he genuinely likes it here and he has 250 points to defend. But winning a couple more matches at the 500 in Hamburg would take care of this if he wanted to rest for a bit longer before heading to the United States.
